Albin Lee Meldau

“Few singers can command an audience’s attention quite like Albin Lee Meldau. His voice is breathtaking, soulful, thunderous and impossible to ignore.” – NPR

Albin Lee Meldau’s lyrics are poetic and emotional and when paired with his arresting melodies and breathtaking voice, his songs transcend language. Whether it is in Swedish or English, the story behind the song is clear.  Albin made his musical debut with 2016’s “Lou Lou,” a song that reached listeners all over the world earning him a slot at the legendary South by Southwest festival which led to a taping on NPR’s highly coveted Tiny Desk, a spot on the Bonnaroo Festival and a nomination and eventual win of the Anchor Award at the iconic Reeperbahn Festival. It was followed by two EP’s and sold out tours across Europe and the USA.

His debut album About You was released in the Spring of 2018. That same year, Albin participated in the major Swedish TV show Så mycket bättre, where his unique interpretations turned viewers into lifelong fans.

In 2019 he headlined two sold out tours followed by the release of his EP The Purgatory Sessions with acoustic versions of songs from his debut album.

Albin’s second full-length På svenska was released in 2021. The album is a deeply personal record detailing his journey from addiction to sobriety with lyrics that are brutal and extremely honest while also moving and relatable.

When creating music, Albin draws inspiration from music history; from blues to soul to reggae to the big Swedish troubadours, but also from contemporary music makers. His peculiar combination of voice, musicality and storytelling has been internationally recognised. His music has been heard across BBC Radio, he he has performed in various British TV shows, and he has collaborated with several of the biggest American songwriters and producers including Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith, Disclosure), Justin Parker (Adele, Lana Del Rey) and Joanthan Quarmby (Adele, Lewis Capaldi).

He released his Swedish language EP Epistlar in September of 2021 which included single “Josefin” that has since gone 2x Platinum in Sweden and continues to be in the Top 50 chart.
