HUNTAR

"Huntar is one to keep an eye out for. His slinky sound is just further proof of why the UK is top of the game when it comes to futuristic R&B" - Pigeons and Planes

South Londoner, Huntar, is a 23-year-old vocalist and producer whose music delivers a mixture of twisted pop and futuristic R&B.

His hook-laden tracks and uniquely textured production have caught the attention of bloggers, media and international music tastemakers.

This year has seen Huntar evolve into one of the most hotly tipped acts for 2017. Surpassing 10 million streams worldwide; having Zane Lowe play “4AM” as his World Record; being championed by UK’s BBC Radio 1 and Introducing; playing festivals and headline shows across Europe and America, and a feature on the FIFA ’17 soundtrack.

January 2017 sees Huntar set to release his biggest song to date; a fresh version of fan favourite “4AM”.  The track caught the ears of ILoveMakonnen who had a massive hit with Drake on track ‘Tuesday’, and as soon as he heard it jumped at the chance of featuring on the track (“4AM Feat. ILoveMakonnen” drops on Friday January 27, 2017).

Among Huntar’s supporters are Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Alice Levine and Clara Amfo, and BBC Radio 1 who invited him to perform on their BBC Introducing Stage at Big Weekend in 2015.  Further international support has come in the form of Jason Kramer on KCRW and Jaden Smith on Beats 1. Huntar has also gained a wide range of fans including Troye Sivan, Ryan Tedder (One Republic), Tinie Tempah, Tori Kelly, Carly Rae Jepson, Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass) and many more.

One of the UK’s brightest rising sons – Neon Gold

‘SK1N’ is the kind of music I thought Sam Smith would end up making (after his first Disclosure collaboration), but I feel HUNTAR’s vocals here — with gravely intonation and equally as impressive range — have helped him stand head and shoulder above this busy scene – Indie Shuffle

UK R&B expert Huntar has proven to build his reputation as another mystical yet utterly haunting artist that we had to shout out loud about right away – Hillydilly

Warped, down tempo R&B that continually faces towards the future, HUNTAR’s releases thus far have sketched him as a rapidly blossoming talent – Clash

It would be great if Huntar’s Bitter mixtape was genuinely a legitimate representation of our days to come, because then humanity’s road ahead would appear to be pretty rosy, with inequality, war and corruption tossed to one side and replaced by an innocent and smooth global soundtrack of unprejudiced internet funk, pensive club tracks, grimey soul, and cavernous electro-pop – Noisey
