IDER Release Debut Album “Emotional Education”

British duo IDER have released their debut album Emotional Education. London flatmates Elizabeth Somerville and Megan Markwick present a collection of left-of-center tunes, which deal with various topics including lost love, growing up, and getting their own “emotional education.” The album features IDER’s previously released singles, such as “You’ve Got Your Whole Life Ahead of You Baby” and “Wu Baby,” while giving way to new tracks such as the poignant number “Saddest Generation,” a song which focuses on the 25% of British individuals facing mental health issues.

Somerville and Markwick seamlessly blend their voices together to create goosebump-inducing harmonies, notably on tracks like “Mirror” and “Wu Baby.” Their vocals, placed on top of lo-fi synthesizer beats, rounds out the overall sound of Emotional Education, one that is sure to keep heads bobbing to IDER’s beat.

In addition to releasing Emotional Education, IDER will embark on a European tour this fall – check out dates here.
